Water district sheds light on companies selling unnecessary water treatment systems ■ Eastern Municipal Water District / Contributed The Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) encourages its customers to be aware of potential scams from companies promoting water quality testing or selling unnecessary water treatment systems. Private companies often leave door hangers or mailers that are vague in nature and ask for customer information and a sample of the users’ water from inside their home.
