Fatality on Ramona Expressway On July 27, 2017, at 1:11 p.m., officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Sanderson Avenue and Ramona Expressway. The preliminary investigation determined a Honda Civic was traveling west on Ramona Expressway, and a Ford Explorer was traveling north on Sanderson Avenue. The Civic attempted to turn left onto Sanderson Avenue without yielding to the Explorer, and the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Civic, identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s office as Linda Cato, 68, of San Jacinto, died at the scene.
