T■ Chronicle News Service ravelers on San Jacinto Avenue will need to find alternate routes come Sept. 1, when the city begins replacing 1.1 miles of degraded road. The project consists of tearing up, regrinding and replacing all four lanes of San Jacinto Avenue between 7th Street and Midway Avenue. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
