Unleash your inner Monet at Destination’s paint party
Paint your very own masterpiece, unleashing your inner Monet, at the Monet Me Paint Party on Friday, Feb. 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Destination Coffee Bar & Bistro, 100 W. Florida Ave. Entrance fee is just $35 per person. An assortment of wine and desserts will be available for purchase while the paint party is in session. Join the Mt. San Jacinto College Concert Band
The MSJC Concert Band invites any community member or MSJC student with experience on a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument to join. Rehearsals are Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in the 1600 building, room 1602 on the San Jacinto Campus located at 1499 N. State St. The band is fun, relaxed, and performs two concerts every semester. Brass ensemble performs at Hope Baptist Church
Dazzling audiences with a repertoire ranging from the early Renaissance to jazz and beyond, Alliance Brass, one of the country’s leading chamber music ensembles, will perform at the Living Hope Baptist Church on 433 S. San Jacinto St. on Sunday Feb. 19. The event is free for ages 22 and under; general admission fee is $30. Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, the Alliance Brass is “the perfect blend of virtuosity and vitality.” Members of the ensemble have performed all over the world from Canada and Mexico to Russia, the UK and Japan, having shared the stage with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra. They have also performed with the top chamber ensembles in the world including the Boston Brass and Synergy Brass. Whether through performance, clinics, or workshops, the Alliance Brass has an infectious enthusiasm they use to inspire a passion for music wherever they go. Golf tourney to benefit Assistance League of Hemacinto
A golf tournament fundraiser titled Swing for Kids will take place on April 8 at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont. Event includes a luncheon. The fundraiser will be hosted by the Assistance League of Hemacinto, a nonprofit founded in 1976 that is dedicated to supporting children in the San Jacinto Valley. Single admission fee in advance is $125; a party of four gets their tickets at the price of $475. The luncheon by itself is $30 per person. For sponsorship opportunities call (951) 652-8307.

Chamber Mixer at Home Instead Senior Care
Are you ready for some “Minute-to-Win-it” challenges? Come celebrate on Feb. 22 with Chamber members, and mix and mingle in a fun way with raffles and prizes at Home Instead Senior Care located on 414 S. Palm Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Who will be showcased this month? Come and find out! The mixer always has plenty of delicious food for your burgeoning appetite. New members are always welcome. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards for networking, and remember that if you bring a raffle prize, you increase the chance of promoting your business. 6th annual San Jacinto Valley Women’s Conference
The 6th Annual San Jacinto Valley Women’s Conference will be held this year at The Country Club at Soboba Springs at 1020 Soboba Road on Feb. 23 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. “Opening Doors” is an exciting event geared towards benefiting the women in the San Jacinto Valley. The conference typically offers mentoring in personal development acting as an active liaison between attendees, and amazing resources in the community. It is a marketplace and workshop to cross-pollinate ideas, admire various exhibits, and network with like-minded women from all walks of life in the Valley community. Funds generated at the conference provide scholarship opportunities for deserving local women. Event cost is $50 until Feb. 12 before midnight going up to $55 Feb. 13 through Feb. 23. Prices for sponsors are as follows: Premier Event Sponsor, $1,500; Event Sponsor , $1,000; Gold Sponsor, $ 750; Silver Sponsor, $ 500; Bronze Sponsor, $ 250. Science Saturday: The Winds of Science, free admission
Come and explore the science of AIR [and wind] with fun hands-on activities and experiments at the Western Science Center on 2345 Searl Parkway on Saturday, March 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities for Science Saturday are located in the Museum Piazza. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. And best of all, Science Saturdays are always free! Additional fee required to enter the museum. Mt. San Jacinto College Blood Drive
The Beta Delta Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is co-hosting a blood drive with LifeStream, the Blood Bank of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties at Menifee Valley Campus, Tuesday, January 31 from 9 am to 3 pm. 28237 La Piedra Rd., Menifee, Quad Area.
