■ By Halima Haider / Reporter HEMET MAN ARRESTED FOR MISUSE OF 9-1-1 The City of Hemet Public Safety Communications Center received repetitive calls from a male who was misusing the 9-1-1 system on Tuesday at about 3:40 a.m. These calls were not associated with any type of public safety emergency and were laced with profanity and vulgar statements. This spate of calls prevented dispatchers from answering other emergency lines, according to a news release. An investigation led officers to the area of Tahquitz and Central avenues in Hemet. Paul Rathgaber 40, of Hemet, was found in possession of the phone used to make the repeated 9-1-1 calls and drug paraphernalia.
