Soboba Casino has announced a reward of $10,000 in free slot play for the person who safely returns New England Patriots’ Quarterback Tom Brady’s missing Super Bowl jersey.
Brady’s jersey may have been taken from the New England Patriot’s locker room shortly after this month’s historic Super Bowl game–or, as reported, it may have inadvertently been packed away with the team’s equipment afterward.
All Brady knows is that he put the jersey into his bag near his locker. “I went in to take my eye black off and they had opened up [the locker room] to, I don’t know, the media,” said Brady in an interview. “And I walked back to my bag and it was gone. Same thing happened two years ago [in the Super Bowl against Seattle]. That sucks, but, oh well.”
In addition to the free slot play, the individual will receive full anonymity for safely surrendering Brady’s Super Bowl LI game-worn No. 12 jersey. The free slot play reward will be credited upon authentication of the jersey, which will immediately be returned to its rightful owners: Tom Brady, the Kraft Family and the New England Patriots organization.
“While we in no way advocate inappropriate actions by any individual(s) responsible for the disappearance of Tom Brady’s jersey, nor do we want to reward bad behavior, we strongly feel that it is and always will be an iconic part of both NFL and American history and it should be recovered soon, said Soboba Casino’s General Manager Scott Sirois. “If we can assist in helping to return this iconic item to whom it belongs, that is exactly what we will do. We understand the jersey was to be gifted to Mr. Brady’s mother, who is currently battling cancer. If we can help make this happen, well, no amount of money or free slot play can possibly represent how important this would be for us in helping to realize this touching tribute,” said Sirois.
The individual in possession of the jersey can turn it into Michael J. Broderick, Soboba Casino’s director of marketing.
