What a great end to the Middle School Winter Sports Season. The three championship games finished with awesome games!
First was the boys soccer match, Rancho Viejo at North Mountain. The game was a back-and-forth effort with North Mountain winning 2-1 at the end.
Second, the boys basketball championship was played at Rancho Viejo between Rancho Viejo and Acacia. Rancho Viejo came into the game undefeated and remained undefeated after beating a very tough Acacia team 48-21.

Monte Vista Girls Basketball team with the Championship trophy after beating Diamond Valley MS 29-24.

And finally, the girls basketball championship game saw Monte Vista girls play Diamond Valley. Monte Vista built a lead, and Diamond Valley fought back in the second half, but at the end Monte Vista’s offense won out, beating Diamond Valley by four points with a final score of 29-24.
The Winter sports saw a lot of competitive games with great support from the community, schools, parents, students and fans. It was awesome watching the student/athletes show great sportsmanship. The school spirit was intense, and all the games were standing room only. Spring sports start in April.
