Sign up your school-age child for this year’s Summer Youth Theatre Production on May 13 at the Stacey West Bailey Theatre at West Valley High School.
This year the show is Disney’s “High School Musical” and is open to students ages 5-18. This is the feel-good musical about students getting together whether they are athletes, brainiacs, skaters or drama nerds, featuring popular songs from the movie, including “We’re All in This Together,” “Keep Your Head in the Game,” and “Bop to the Top.”
A $50 registration fee is due at signups and a $45 costume fee can be offset by selling ads and sponsors. The first rehearsal is June 5 at West Valley High School. Rehearsals are 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Rehearsals for the first two weeks are at West Valley; remaining rehearsals are at the Ramona Bowl. Performance dates are June 26-29; curtain rises at 6 p.m.
Previous shows in this program have included “Beauty and the Beast,” “Peter Pan” and “The Little Mermaid.” Every child who registers will be in the production and in all four performances. For more information contact Stacey Bailey at (951) 316-4030 or call (951) 658-3111.
