Poetry reading at DVAC
This free poetry event is on June 24 at 12 p.m. at Diamond Valley Arts Center located at 123 N. Harvard St. Poetry Readings by Kelsay Books. Team Hemet Baseball registration for fall season
The season runs from Sept. 9 to Nov. 19. The registration fee is $85. A $10 early registration discount and a multi-child discount began June 3. Individual registration includes a jersey and a hat. Ramona Summer Youth Theatre: ‘High School Musical’
Performances are June 26-27 starting at 6 p.m. at the Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre located at 27400 Ramona Bowl Road. General admission is $5. Master gardener series: vegetables
A master gardener will be at the Inter Valley Vitality Center June 28 to discuss how to have the best vegetable garden possible and how to grow larger and tastier vegetables for your table. Golden Smoothies perform a country hoedown
Event will be held on June 28 at 11 a.m. at the Simpson Center. Advance sale tickets are $15; price increases to $19 day of show. Ticket includes BBQ box lunch and show. Afternoon Movie: ‘Hello Dolly’
On June 23 at 12:30 p.m., the Inter Valley Vitality Center is hosting a free showing of “Hello Dolly,” Come enjoy Gene Kelly’s Oscar-winning film starring Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau, where Louis Armstrong performs his greatest hit. Soboba lip sync contest
A lip sync contest will be held on June 23 at 7 p.m. at Soboba Casino’s AC Lounge located at 23333 Soboba Road. Admission is $25 per person. Join in the fun as teams from 12 local nonprofits compete for cash prizes in the zaniest fundraiser of the year! Top prize $4,000. Sponsored by the Soboba Foundation. 951-665-1000.

Family swim & dive-in movie
A family-friendly film will be shown on June 23 at 6 p.m. at Diamond Valley Lake Aquatic Center. Admission is $3 per person ($2 age 2 and under). Bring the family out for a fun evening at the Aquatic Center. Family swim is 6 – 7:30 p.m., followed by a movie under the stars! Kiddos can watch the movie while they are floating in the pool. Movies under the stars at Valley-Wide
“The Minions” movie will be shown on June 23 at Valley-Wide Community Park located at 901 W Esplanade Ave. Admission is Free. Valley-Wide Recreation presents a fun-filled evening for the whole family. Bring your own chair/blanket and enjoy a family film under the stars. Refreshments are available. Movie begins at dusk. SJHS Annual Summer Soccer Camp
The camp runs from July 10-20, Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 11:30a.m. at San Jacinto High School Stadium located at 500 Idyllwild Dr., San Jacinto,. $25 participation fee includes a camp T-shirt and end-of-camp pizza party. There is also a free Keeper Clinic July 15-16 for SJHS students. Please bring medical release form, cleats, shin guards, running shoes and water.
