The Historic Hemet Theatre will present a one-of-a-kind show on July 8 in tribute to Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley. “Cash, Killer and The King” is a red-hot rock ‘n’ roll tribute to these three legendary icons of music.
Johnny Cash is portrayed by SoCal native Neil Morrow, a professional entertainer for more than 20 years. He has traveled across the U.S., as well as Canada, Malaysia and Singapore, portraying Johnny Cash in a variety of shows. Growing up as a Cash fan, Morrow’s attention to detail, performance and vocals are a dead ringer to that of Johnny Cash, and Morrow gives an amazing portrayal of “The Man in Black!”
Jerry Lee Lewis is portrayed by Ohio native Jacob Tolliver, whose entertainment roots began at an early age, dazzling friends and family deep in Appalachian country. At age 19, Tolliver understudied the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the production of “Million Dollar Quartet.” In season 14 of American Idol, he made it through to Hollywood Week, bringing the crowd to its feet with his pumping piano style and energy.
“The King of Rock n Roll,” Elvis Presley, is portrayed by Scot Bruce. Originally from the Pacific Northwest where he was a radio personality and a drummer, Bruce now lives in Los Angeles. Because of his uncanny resemblance to the young “King” (and his ability to sing, strum a guitar, and swivel his hips), Bruce’s talent has taken him across the U.S. and all over the world. He has portrayed Elvis in music videos with Faith Hill and Sheryl Crow as well as a show at Disneyland for 15 years.
These three performers have now teamed up on stage for a show of a lifetime. “Cash, Killer and the King” is a show guaranteed to have you dancing in the aisles! From Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” to Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire” and Presley’s “Blue Suede Shoes,” this show has it all! A visit to their website at www.CashKillerKingTribute.com will give you a sample of the incredible talent headed to Hemet for this performance.
