Members of the Hemet/San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce gathered July 21 to welcome the Hemet office of Servpro to the Chamber. A ribbon cutting ceremony followed a warm welcome from the franchise owners, Elena and Daniel Radu.
One of the top 10 restoration companies in the country, Servpro offers 24/7 emergency residential and commercial cleaning and restoration services. Sales representative Dana Horton told attendees that the staff is highly trained. “It is no longer a matter of will the insurance company cover our services, but a matter of how long will it take for us to get there.”
This franchise prides itself on being there for its customers, Horton said, citing one member of the Servpro team, Gonzalo, who made daily trips to the hospital after one of his elderly customers was hospitalized following the disaster that the company was hired to address. Carrying flowers, Gonzalo showed up at the hospital every day to visit his customer.
Horton said that the company is trying to take it to the next level and involve and educate the community on restoration.
Servpro works with insurance companies on the customer’s behalf when there is water, fire, smoke or mold damage. “We can take care of the restoration and work with the insurance company because we already have a relationship with them,” Horton said. “We make it [the home or business] look like it never happened.”
Elena Radu said it is important to them that everything be restored and that their clients are safe in their homes. “We go the extra mile because we do care,” she said.
Servpro has a free app called the Emergency Readiness Program. The Hemet franchise will set you up with this free service that includes all of your contacts, such as your contractor, electrician, plumber, etc. If you are on vacation, your child or whoever is watching your home has access to the information and knows what to do. This approach also helps companies like Servpro to have pertinent information—such as the location of the shut-off valves, parking, etc.—readily available.
Representatives from the offices of State Sen. Mike Morrell (R-23), Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez (R-67) and Riverside County Third District Supervisor Chuck Washington presented Servpro with certificates of recognition.
Hemet Mayor Pro Tem Michael Perciful welcomed Servepro on behalf of the City of Hemet. Perciful presented Servpro with a certificate welcoming the family-owned franchise to the Chamber. He also took a moment to thank Gonzalo for his work with customers and said, “The people of this valley care about each other and we appreciate it.”
