MSJC presents writer and storyteller, Kimberly Dark
Come and hear writer and storyteller Kimberly Dark talk about “Becoming the Subject of Your Own Story” on Nov. 30 at 12:30 p.m. in room 1512 of the San Jacinto campus, 1499 N. State St., San Jacinto. Jingle Mingle Evening at Museum
Help support the projects and programs of Soroptimist International San Jacinto-Hemet Valley. Appetizers and a no-host wine bar, Christmas decor raffle and silent auction. MSJC College Singers and Chamber Choir

Holiday light exchange
Exchange your old holiday lights for new, efficient LED lights for free and receive a free energy efficiency kit. Offer available to all Southern California Gas and Southern California Edison customers. Lighting exchange is valid for strand counts of 50 or more lights. While supplies last. Bring a paper or electronic copy of your gas bill and a valid picture ID on Dec. 2 at Gibbel Park from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to participate.

MSJC Theatre Department holds auditions for “Kiss Me Kate”
Auditions will be held for MSJC’s spring musical, “Kiss me Kate,” on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at the San Jacinto Campus, Rm. 1512, 1499 N. State St. To audition, prepare a song that showcases your voice and bring sheet music if you would like. An accompanist will be provided, but feel free to bring your own CD/iPod or your own accompanist.
During the audition you may also be interviewed by the director and asked to read from the script. Those auditioning should be prepared to dance during callbacks on Dec. 7. Contact Payden Ackerman at 951-487-3791 or packerman@msjc.edu for details.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical”

MSJC Dance Touring Ensemble Fall Concert
This year’s fall dance concert will feature the students of MSJC’s Dance Touring Ensemble. Concert runs Dec. 1-3; Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m., MSJC San Jacinto Campus Theatre, 1499 N. State St., San Jacinto. $10 general admission, $8 senior/student, $5 veterans. City of Hemet Christmas Parade and Celebration
Parade will be Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. starting at W. Florida and Palm avenues and travels west to Gibbel Park at corner of Florida Avenue and Kirby Street. Parade ends at Gibbel Park with a Christmas festival including music, entertainment, vendors and more. 951-660-4910 for details.

Kids Art Jam

HUSD Governing Board annual meeting
The Hemet Unified School District is holding its annual meeting on Dec. 5 in the board room of the Professional Development Service Center at 1791 W. Acacia Ave., Hemet. The annual Organization Meeting begins at 3:30 p.m. Closed session immediately following, with an open session at 6:30 p.m.

Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center.
The club is open to anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area who would like to learn and share knowledge of computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Valley-Wide Recreation Center, 43935 E. Acacia Ave., Hemet.

Bereavement group
