Hemet Police searching for hit and run driver

On Saturday, Nov. 18 at about 6:05 p.m., Hemet Police officers responded to a hit and run traffic collision that occurred near the intersection of Florida and Tahquitz avenues in Hemet. Investigators learned a 28-year-old Bellflower woman identified as Heidi Parker was walking across Florida Avenue with a group of people and was struck by a tan or grey four-door sedan near the driveway of 859 W. Florida Ave. The driver of the sedan did not stop and fled the scene in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained major front end and windshield damage.
Parker was seriously injured and remains hospitalized with head trauma and a broken leg. The Hemet Police Department is asking the public for help.
