We need you to sing with us
The Harmoneers Chorale, entertaining music lovers in the Hemet area since 1977, begins rehearsals on Monday, Jan. 15, for their May 20 Spring Concert. If you can work Monday mornings into your schedule, you are invited to join this fine chorale. Rehearsals are 9:15 a.m. to noon Monday mornings at The First Presbyterian Church, 515 E. Mt. San Jacinto College Menifee Dance Auditions
Auditions will be held at 11:30 am on Jan. 19 at the Menifee Valley Campus Lab Theatre, Rm. 207, 28237 La Piedra Rd., Menifee. MSJC is holding auditions for the spring dance concert that will feature work by West African choreographer Julie Simon, as well as a folklorico piece by our newest faculty member, Alfonso Cervera. Faculty members Adrienne Stroik, Natalia Morales, Mark Olson and Paula Naggi will be creating dances, and the work of three of our talented student dance makers, Bryan Burns, Landon Higgs and Martin Carrillo will be featured. Additionally, four alumni will be returning to create dances for our student performers: Michael Dayanhirang, Val Carnahan, Marilyn Lizarraga and Maili Schlosser. MSJC San Jacinto Singing Auditions
Auditions for the College Singers and Chamber Choir will be held at 4 p.m., Jan. 18 and 25 at the Mt. San Jacinto College San Jacinto campus, Rm. 1614, 1499 N. State St., 92583. Students, faculty, and the community are encouraged to bring a prepared piece of any genre music to the audition sponsored by the Department of Music. All levels of experience are welcome. Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m.–noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center. The club is open to anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area who would like to learn and share knowledge of computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Valley-Wide Recreation Center, 43935 E. Acacia Ave., Hemet.

Celebrate Recovery meetings
Celebrate Recovery meets are held every week at the following locations:
Mondays, 6:30 p.m., San Jacinto Assembly of God, 300 W. First St., San Jacinto. Tuesdays, 6 p.m., Hemet Christian Assembly, 602 St. John Place, Hemet. Tuesdays, 7 p.m., Community Christian Church, 41762 Stetson Ave., Hemet. Saturdays, 6 p.m., Hemet Valley Baptist Church, 1480 N. Kirby St., San Jacinto.

Hemet Public Library
The following activities are held at the Hemet Public Library, 300 E. Latham Ave.
Bark for Books: First Friday of every month from 4–5 p.m. Practice reading skills by reading out loud to certified therapy dogs!
Book Club: Director’s Bookshelf meets the third Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. in the director’s office.
Diamond Valley Writers Guild: meets the fourth Saturday of every month from 9:30–11:30 a.m.

Pass Area Veterans Expo
The expo honors all branches of the military and will be held from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. on Jan. 27 at the Beaumont Civic Center, 550 E. 6th St., Beaumont. It is open to the public. Explore the many benefits and services for veterans and/or their families through different agencies and organizations that will be present. Refreshments will be available. 7th San Jacinto Women’s Conference
The conference will be held from 7:45 a.m.–3:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at The Country Club at Soboba Springs, 1020 Soboba Rd, San Jacinto. Register online at www.sjvwc.com. $50 for early registration (by Feb. 12) and $55 thereafter. Reserve a table for 10 for $450. There will be motivational speakers, local vendors, prizes, breakfast and lunch, shopping and more. Space is limited.

Widowed Persons Activities Club
Monthly meetings are held at 1:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month at the Simpson Center, 305 E. Devonshire Ave., Hemet (behind the library). The group often has keynote speakers on topics of interest to members. The club has 50/50 drawings, card bingo, Chinese auctions, etc. To ensure a good fit, prospective members are encouraged to try up to three activities before joining.
