While ticket sales for this weekend’s Rod Stewart tribute are winding down over at the Historic Hemet Theatre, tickets for the upcoming “Tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd” are moving fast.
On Saturday, Feb. 10, Southbound and Company will make their first visit to HHT with their wildly popular show, “Lynyrd Skynyrd and Frynds.” Fans will enjoy all of their favorite ‘70s hits, including “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” “What’s Your Name,” and “That Smell.”
In the 1970s, Lynyrd Skynyrd gained worldwide recognition for their live performances and unique southern rock style. But in 1977, at the peak of their success, band members Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines died in an airplane crash. Lynyrd Skynyrd has sold 28 million records and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
