Hemet West has booked the following bands for the February Wednesday night dances for seniors:

February 14 – Ron and Diane / Valentine’s Day theme honoring couples that met at the dance
February 21 – American Made
February 28 – E’klektic

One of the wildest and most colorful in the United States, Mardi Gras (Carnival) grew from Roman festivals with roots in spring rituals. Observed since the Middle Ages, Mardi Gras arrived in North America from Paris.
Purple (justice), green (faith), and yellow (power), are the official colors of the famous Mardi Gras celebrations. Supposedly, these colors were selected by Grand Duke Alexis Alexandrovitch Romanoff of Russia while visiting New Orleans in 1872.
Since the Middle Ages, February has been the month to celebrate love, particularly on Valentine’s Day. Love blossoms at Hemet West’s dances. Quite a few of our regular dancers met here and are happily married to each other.
These dances are open to the public and are held from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Admission is $6 per person and proper attire is required. Opportunity drawings offer free tickets. Refreshments are available; no alcohol is allowed.
These dances are held at Hemet West, 5001 W. Florida Ave. in Hemet, contact Kathy Perry at 951-692-0891. Dances are open to the public.
