Fiber Arts show at DVAC
The Diamond Valley Arts Council (DVAC) Arts Center Gallery’s Fiber Arts show will be displayed now through April 28 in their arts center, 123 N. Harvard St., Hemet. DVAC continues the tradition of bringing outstanding fiber art works by local and regional artists with the third Fiber Arts exhibition. Entries were open to surface design, printing on fabric, mixed media techniques including fabric, thread or yarns, quilting art, thread painting and felting. Works are available for sale.

MSJC Welcomes Award-Winning Novelist, T.C. Boyle
The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 6 at the San Jacinto Campus Theatre, Bldg. 1500, 1499 N. State St., San Jacinto. Mt. San Jacinto College is excited to be hosting T.C. Boyle as the featured author at the upcoming MSJC Eagle Event. Recognized as one of the most inventive and wickedly funny short story writers at work today, Boyle has built up a body of fiction that is remarkable in its range, richness, and exuberance. Since the mid-70s, he has published 26 books of fiction and more than 100 short stories. He won the PEN/Faulkner Award in 1988, for his third novel, “World’s End,” and the Prix Médicis étranger (France) for “The Tortilla Curtain” in 1995. He is a distinguished professor of English at the University of Southern California. The event is free and open to the public. Rummage sale at Casa Del Rey Estates
The rummage sale will take place Saturday, April 7 from 7 a.m.-2 p.m., in the West Clubhouse at Casa Del Rey Estates, 881 N. Lake St., Hemet. There will be a bake sale, and hot dogs, chips and soda will also be for sale on that day.
Cancer Benefit: 4-Man Scramble Golf Tournament Fundraiser
This FUNdraiser is for our Idyllwild School Office Manager Beth Swanson and former Idyllwild School student Emma Salter. The tournament starts at 8 a.m. on April 22 at the Golden Era Golf Course, 19871 Hwy 79, San Jacinto. The cost is $40 per player. Please make your own team, if possible. There will be great prizes, fun raffles and a delicious lunch. Please come out and support these amazing women as they battle cancer. Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m.–noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center. The club is open to anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area who would like to learn and share knowledge of computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Valley-Wide Recreation Center, 43935 E.
