In 2010, The Performing Arts Guild Alliance (PAGA) unveiled its grand opening in Hemet as means to provide financial support for schools and assistance to music programs for children.
Its purpose is to bring some cultural activity to the schools in Hemet because of the area’s lack of institutions. PAGA is able to help support the arts for children through fundraisers and membership donations.
At noon on Sunday, April 15, PAGA will host “An Afternoon of Music” at the beautiful Mission Inn Spanish Arts Gallery in Riverside. Delicious food and drinks will be served with entertainment provided by Dr. Peter Atherton and artists from Chapman University in Orange County. The music selections will be a mix of classic Broadway and opera.
These events are great for the community because they bring a sense of culture to the area. The members of PAGA share their passion with today’s teachers in wanting to create programs that nurture the expressive nature in students—inspiring them to make positive choices and helping them grow to become conscientious, sensitive, and culturally aware adults.
PAGA has helped 80,000 school children in 70 surrounding area schools, who have participated in the program free of charge.
