Never one to miss an opportunity to bring people together for a good cause, the Healthy Valley Foundation celebrated Mother’s Day this year by recognizing the tireless efforts of the valley’s moms and the good works of local organizations through both silent and live auctions Friday, May 11, at the Soboba Country Club, which served a 10-course buffet dinner before the fundraising event for charity. Here, the western-themed auctioneer calls for bids from the audience on a variety of donated weekend getaway trips, food baskets, jewelry, and other precious merchandise. The event raised thousands for the Foundation, which supports a variety of beneficial organizations in the Valley including Valley Wide Recreation, Exceed, V.I.P. Tots, Fingerprints Youth Museum, MSJC Nursing Scholarship Program, Hemet Hospice Volunteers, Health Profession Studies Scholarships, and C.A.S.A.
