Hemet woman killed when thrown from pickup A 26-year-old Hemet woman was killed in the early morning hours of June 15 when she was thrown from her pickup truck after it rolled on Interstate 10 in San Bernardino, authorities said. The woman, identified by authorities as Daisy Martinez, died from injuries suffered in the crash that occurred about 3:35 a.m. near Tippecanoe Avenue, according to the CHP. Martinez was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado westbound when the truck struck the center divider guardrail, then continued down an embankment.
