Recently there have been some items on the news about four senior citizens in Hemet dying from the high temperatures, and at the same time Edison is turning off the electricity in many homes during the peak hot periods. My neighbors are an example.
Can the family members sue Edison as a contributing factor to their elder family members’ deaths due to the extreme heat in their homes?
Editor’s Note: That’s a good question. We will contact Edison and see if we can find out what’s going on.
I have lived in Hemet since 1974. So I have seen the good and the bad. My first question is why do we have a city council? I would like for them to do something about the way Hemet looks and the way you allow it to be presented. I have very strong feelings about the way it looks.
Why do you allow people to sleep on the sidewalks in the shopping centers? Why do you allow them to live in the parks even when the park is closed. They throw their trash anywhere, have no respect for what they are doing. Code enforcement? What do they do. The empty lots are full of trash, storefronts in downtown are trashy looking. Cars parked on the front yard are just trashy looking. Election signs are still up.
Finally I would like to know how the penny tax for the people who live here is doing? Have you been able to hire any policemen? If so where are they? Do we have any traffic patrols here in this town.? Why do you encourage people to run red lights. Any smart person knows when the light turns green we do not pull our right, we stop and look to see if someone is speeding toward us. You know it is human nature if they get away with it one time they will do it again. They speed on Florida, Stetson, and Fruitvale, plus many other streets. The driving in this town is bad. People do not know how to read traffic signs.
Please put an end to this madness here in Hemet and let those of us who choose to live here be proud of it. Oh, on the median for Florida Avenue? It would be the best thing for Hemet.
