Hemet, San Jacinto to benefit from large grant to fight alcohol-related crime The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has been awarded a $ 97,815 grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for 2018-2019, according to a release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The grant will help fund operations for a number of programs to battle alcohol related crime, combat underage drinking, and educate licensees about alcoholic beverage laws. The grant will cover those cities and unincorporated areas serviced by the Hemet, Jurupa Valley, Cabazon, and Palm Desert stations, and the contract cities: San Jacinto, Calimesa, Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Indian Wells, Norco, Palm Desert, and Rancho Mirage.
