Hemet man crushed between two vehicles

Victim was working on his truck when it lurched forward ■ Chronicle News Staff A 58-year old Hemet man was killed Monday, Aug. 27, when the car he was working on unexpectedly lurched forward and crushed him. The Riverside County Coroner identified the victim as Carlos Garcia. Hemet Police Dispatch Center began receiving various 911 calls reporting a traffic collision in the area of San Jacinto Street and Central Avenue a little after 5 p.m. When responding Hemet Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Garcia on the ground between two vehicles in front of a residence in the 300 block of South San Jacinto Street. Garcia was not breathing
