■ Chronicle News Staff On Monday, Oct 15, Hemet Police and Fire were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of W. Oakland Avenue, between North Street and N. Hamilton Avenue after receiving reports of a gunshot wound victim. When authorities arrived, they located a victim suffering instead from stab wounds. Initial reports were that a victim was shot in the hand. Upon further investigation, police reported the victim’s injuries were revealed to be caused by a knife. The suspects involved were allegedly two white males who had already fled the scene by the time officers arrived. Officers quickly searched the area to locate the suspects, but to no avail.
