St. Patrick’s Day was on Sunday, Mar. 17, a popular holiday celebrated throughout the valley. It is said on that day everyone in the world becomes Irish.
Among the revelers celebrating the holiday were members of the Soboba Springs Residents Association who live at Soboba Springs Mobile Estates in San Jacinto, right across the street from the new Soboba Casino Resort.

The St. Patrick’s Celebration Party by the Soboba Springs Residents Association at Soboba Springs senior park in San Jacinto is an annual event that drew over 125 this year.

Rhonda Dubski, recently-elected President of the park’s residents association, said, “This was our largest St. Patrick’s Celebration Party in memory. Over 125 showed up in various forms of green attire to enjoy the corned beef and cabbage with boiled carrots and potatoes, created by our master chef Robert Kaiser and his able assistant chef, Steve Bilecz. We were definitely all Irish tonight.”
The main entertainment for the residents was the appearance of the Tir Ruaidh Irish Dancers from the City of Redlands (http://tirruaidhirishdance.com), who thrilled the audience with their footwork and traditional dances to the lively Celtic strains of traditional Irish folk music.
Everyone stayed late and many could be seen dragging home tasty leftovers from Robert and Steve’s serving counter. Their green derbies and shamrock hats are tucked away and they’re already looking forward to next year.
Soboba Springs Mobile Estates is located at 2230 Lake Park Drive in San Jacinto. For more information call (951) 654-4710.
