News John Eric as George Strait thrills country western fans at HHT Contributed April 5, 2019 Chris Smith / The Valley ChronicleJohn Eric, who looks and sounds like George Strait, thrilled country western fans Friday, March 29, when his Troubadour Experience graced the stage of the Hemet Historic Theatre. The show was an extra performance in the theatre’s ongoing Tribute Mania series yet packed the house. Carrying on in true George Strait tradition, the Troubadour Experience honors country music’s most legendary performer, George Strait, whose 32-year career resulted in 60 number 1 hits, more than any other artist in any genre. The visiting group delighted the audience with an authentic-sounding performance of George Strait’s hits including “Fool Hearted Memory,” “All My Exes Live In Texas,” “Ocean Front Property,” “The Chair,” “Here For A Good Time,” and many more. Pedal-steel guitar player Mike G. Smith from Nashville, Tenn., helped give the band its authentic sound. Eric posed for photos with patrons after the show. Next up for the Hemet Theatre is Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute Saturday, April 6.
