San Bernardino, California – Stater Bros. Markets is excited to announce the opening of their newest location at 11810 Whittier Boulevard in the community of Whittier, California. The new Whittier location replaces a former store previously located at 11750 Whittier Blvd. The new store will officially open for business at 6:00 am on Wednesday, November 3rd and will operate daily from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm thereafter. The store will be led by Store Manager Melissa Brockelmeyer whose service with the company spans over 22 years.
At 44,378 sq. ft., the new supermarket will feature full-service meat, seafood, service deli and bakery departments; an extensive selection of fresh, organic, and healthy offerings including fresh fruit cut in-store and handcrafted sushi made inhouse daily; spacious aisles; and a décor scheme reflective of the local community. For the convenience of our customers, the store will have eleven (11) checkout registers with several offering self checkout. In addition, the store will implement eco-friendly practices such as the use of energy-efficient equipment and energy-saving LED lighting. The new store will bring approximately 150 jobs to the area and will be the second location to serve the City of Whittier.
“We have been a part of the Whittier community since 1953 and we are thrilled to be able to continue to serve the community in this brandnew location,” said Stater Bros. CEO Pete Van Helden. “The community will be pleased with a wide variety of product offerings and convenient meal solutions that will make for an exceptional shopping experience,” Van Helden concluded.
In celebration of the store opening, and in Stater Bros.’ tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, Stater Bros. Charities will present donations totaling $15,000 to Whittier Meal on Wheels, Boys & Girls Club of Whittier, Skills Organization, The Whole Child, Disabled American Veterans #46 Whittier, and Ozzy Foundation.
