These days, most do-it-yourselfers go to the big blue hardware store… or the one covered in orange spray paint. Why? They know what they’re getting. But as the big white Valle Vista Home Center (which came before them on East Florida Avenue demonstrates, local owners can definitely compete with the big box guys.
Inside the store, you’ll find that their store is just as big a box as the folks in blue or orange. They have what you need too, at prices that hold their own against the menacing warehouses on the west end of town. And their selection is just as good, with everything from quality lawnmowers to Valspar paints and finishes, all the pipes and joints you’ll need to fix that leak behind the drywall, and all the lumber you would need to become a tree house master. They even do custom orders! Good thing, because no two fence gaps are exactly the same, as any homeowner might come to find.
But what sets Valle Vista apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. That’s a point owner Greg Kantzalis stands behind: “It’s customer service based. We do screens, cut wood, it’s more hands-on. You need a specialty item, it’s here.”
Valle Vista was part of Ace Hardware for 30 years up until 2001, but these days Kantzalis is an independent owner with an independent vision: “It was time to change; it’s just suppliers.” In short, he knows from whom to get what you need.
But don’t see him as a novice in the industry. Hardware runs in the family, as his dad operates the Beaumont Do-it Best Hardware store.
With quality, value, experience and commitment to customer service under one roof, you have an excellent excuse to shop local!
And if there’s ever a problem, his team will work to fix it for you. And because it’s on our city’s main thoroughfare, you can’t miss it. The address is 42951 E. Florida Ave.
