Rally for health care
The Democratic Action Group of Hemet/San Jacinto is hosting a rally to show members of Congress that many Americans, from both political parties, do not support the House version of the new Health Care Plan. People who are interested in participating in the national grassroots movement of protest can join others at the northeast corner of Sanderson and Florida avenues from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 3.
Valley-Wide hosts movies in the park
Each site at Valley-Wide Recreation presents a fun-filled evening for the whole family once a month. Bring your own chair/blanket and enjoy a family film under the stars. Refreshments available. Movie begins at dusk. Call each site location for date and movie information.
Center Against Sexual Assault (C.A.S.A.) Open House

Super Saturday Music Show
The Harvard Street Music Exchange hosts a music show featuring local talent the first Saturday of each month. This month’s featured bands include Child of War (Hemet, Rock n’ Roll), Onyx the Warrior (Hemet, Hip Hop), Ultra Gun (Hemet, Psych/Blues Rock), Sitting in Erick’s Room (Hemet, Indie Rock), and Rachel Mercy (Menifee, Singer/Songwriter). Bow-Wow Meow Luau

Free golf classes for kids
Grandfathers For Golf sponsors free golf lessons for children ages 7 to 18. Classes begin June 13 and all course fees and classes are free. Beginner’s classes will be held at Echo Hills Golf Course in Hemet and Golden Era Golf Course in San Jacinto. The first classes will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at Golden Era Golf Course, and Wednesday, June 14 at Echo Hills. Classes are from 7:30- 9 a.m. at both locations. Pee Wee classes (ages 5 to 6) will start at 8 a.m. Every child, in addition to nine classes, will receive a uniform shirt and hat and a set of golf clubs for them to keep. Wild Desert at DVAC
Photographer David McChesney’s new exhibit, “Wild Desert,” presents striking images of desert life. A meet-the-artist reception will be held on Sunday, June 11 at 4 p.m. The exhibition runs from Friday, June 1 to Saturday July 29. SJHS annual summer soccer camp
The camp runs July 10-20, Mondays through Thursdays from 9-11:30 a.m. at San Jacinto High School Stadium, located at 500 Idyllwild Dr., San Jacinto. $25 participation fee includes a camp T-shirt and end-of-camp pizza party. There is also a free Keeper Clinic July 15 and 16 for SJHS students. Please bring medical release form, cleats, shin guards, running shoes and water.
