MSJC: auditions for Lucky Stiff
Auditions are 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, and Wednesday, Aug. 16. Callbacks are on Thursday, Aug. 17. Auditions will be held at Mt. DVAC Plein Air Art Show

The Gin Game at The Ramona Bowl
The show runs Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18-20,  at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Ramona Hillside Playhouse, 27402 Ramona Bowl Road, Hemet. Reserved seating is $15. Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation Announces Concert: Warrant
Aug. 19 at 6 p.m., Monte De Oro Winery, 35820 Rancho California Road, Temecula is where the Mt. San Jacinto College Foundation will hold a fundraising concert to support MSJC and the Student Government Association. It features the band Warrant, with guests, The Forty Nineteens. Abstract Art Series Workshop
A workshop held from 6–8 p.m. on Aug. 18 at Destination Coffee Bar & Bistro, 100 W. Florida Ave., Hemet, will focus on abstract art. Join us for the second class in this four-series workshop. Golf Classic to benefit Hemet Public Library reading programs
From 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Sep. 16, Golden Era Golf Course Community Center, 19871 Gilman Springs Rd. San Jacinto, will host a golfing fundraiser to benefit the Hemet Public Library’s Adult Literacy and Children’s Reading Programs. Galway Downs
The horse show on Sept. 23–24 is a Championship Show for Peruvian Paso Horses hosted by the Mission Trails Peruvian Paso Horse Club. There is an 8 a.m. start time for both days. Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m.–12 noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center. The club is open to anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area who would like to learn and share knowledge on computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Valley-Wide Recreation Center, 43935 E. Team Hemet Baseball registration for fall season
The season runs from Sept. 9 – Nov. 19. Registration fee for the season is $85. Early registration discount of $10 and a multi-child discount began June 3. Science Under the Stars
Save Sept. 9 for Western Science Center’s annual fundraiser. This year’s guest speaker is paleontologist Eric Scott. There will be a live auction, music, and dancing, open bar, museum visit, fossil demonstration, and more. It’s $125/seat, $1,000 for a table of eight.
