American Medical Response (AMR) Riverside County sent a team of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to augment emergency medical services on the Texas coast for Tropical Storm Harvey at the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
The AMR Riverside County team includes three emergency medical technicians from AMR’s Hemet operation. They join seven others from AMR’s Riverside and Palm Springs operations.
The team is comprised of paramedics, EMTs and a team leader. This team is one of many being sent to the Gulf Coast by AMR from all over the country. The Riverside County team flew out of Ontario, California on Aug. 25 and landed in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. They will staff ambulances cached on the ground, which will then be deployed to affected areas.
