Fortunate Son is widely known as the very best tribute band playing Creedence Clearwater Revival songs, and last Saturday the group came to town to prove the case once again.
It was only last March that the band first brought its dynamic tribute show to downtown Hemet. The program quickly sold out and earned rave reviews from local fans. The music was so impressive that the band was booked for a return engagement just seven months later. And while the latest performance didn’t quite sell out, the auditorium was packed with a very loud, enthusiastic crowd, proclaiming this show to be even better than the last.
Lead Singer Brad Ford explained why the theater has gained a reputation as one of the very best venues in Southern California. “The acoustics of the auditorium are exceptional and with the sound equipment provided by HHT and Tribe Pro Audio, the audio is incredible. There are other venues that also have great seating, but the dance floor in front of the stage at HHT really sets this theatre apart. Still, the best feature of all is the warmth and enthusiasm of the Hemet audiences. Nothing brings out the best in a band like a cheering crowd. That’s what makes this theatre our favorite venue to play.”

The dance floor was packed Saturday when Fortunate Son, the country’s top CCR tribute band, played for fans at Hemet Historic Theatre.
Fortunate Son’s lead singer Brad Ford brought the house down Saturday night just as John Fogarty did in the 1960s playing with the original Creedence Clearwater Revival band.
