The Historic Hemet Theatre will host a gala on Saturday, Dec. 2 that is as unique as the old movie house itself. “Vintage Vegas” will be an elegant evening of Las Vegas-style entertainment, unique food tastings, and more – all to benefit the Historic Hemet Theatre Foundation’s Building Fund.
The evening will begin with a catered buffet of elegant hors d’oeuvres and desserts on the expansive dance floor in front of the stage. Laura from Harvard Street Bakery & Café has dreamed up some very unique finger foods for the event that will have the auditorium buzzing even before the show begins.
The community has donated more than 40 gift baskets, which will be raffled off. Opportunity drawings will allow patrons to spin the prize wheel to win prizes ranging from chocolate coins and elegant hand fans to lottery tickets and gift cards from local merchants. In addition, those buying raffle tickets will be entered into the grand prize drawing for Disneyland Hopper tickets, a vacation trip, and a pair of tickets to every show in the next concert series that starts in January.
Attendees will have their photo taken in the lobby before the show and complimentary prints will be posted in the lobby after the show as well as on the theatre’s Facebook album.
Entertainment for the evening will be a tribute to The Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra) featuring Las Vegas’ The Pack. This non-stop, high-energy show features not only the nostalgic music of The Rat Pack, but also the zany comedy for which they were so well known.
It’s an evening of glamour and fun that will have the whole valley talking! Doors open at 5:30 pm for hors d’oeuvres and desserts; show time is 7 p.m. Tickets for Vintage Vegas are $75 per person. Patrons that have purchased Season Tickets for either the current concert series or the 2018 season can purchase tickets for just $65. Tickets are on sale at the theatre box office or online at PurplePass.com. Discounted tickets are available only at box office. Ticket sales are limited and are selling quickly.
Meanwhile, tickets are still available for the final concert of the Summer/Fall Concert Series. A tribute to The Doors featuring Strange Days will take place this Saturday, Nov. 11. Based in Los Angeles, Strange Days tours the world sharing the magic…the mystery….and the madness of The Doors. Showtime for HHT’s regular concert series is 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 presale, $25 day of show, available online at www.PurplePass.com or at the theatre box office. Tickets are also available at Downtown Deli, 113 N. Harvard St. and the Harvard Street Music Exchange, 134 S. Harvard St.
