Christmas Eve Sing-Along
If you love Christmas caroling, come and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus with us! Hemet Seventh Day Adventist Church invites you to a Christmas sing-along on Christmas Eve, Sunday Dec. 24, from 6-7 p.m. in the sanctuary at the church on 27025 Girard St., Hemet. Rocky Horror New Year’s Eve

Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m.–noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center. Hemet Public Library
The following activities/events are held at the Hemet Public Library, 300 E. Latham Ave., Hemet.
• Bark for Books: First Friday of every month from 4 p.m.-5 p.m.. Practice reading skills by reading out loud to certified therapy dogs!
• Book Club: Director’s Book Shelf meets the third Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. in the Director’s Office.
• Diamond Valley Writers Guild: group meets the fourth Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
• Hemet Library hosts Children’s Winter Read-a-thon

Pass area veterans expo
The expo honors all branches of the military and will be held on Jan. 27 from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Beaumont Civic Center, 550 E. 6th St., Beaumont. It is open to the public. Explore the many benefits and services for veterans and/or their families through different agencies and organizations that will be present. Refreshments will be available. Widowed Persons Activities Club
Monthly meetings are held at 1:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month (except December) at the Simpson Center, 305 E. Devonshire Ave., Hemet (behind the library). The group often has keynote speakers on topics of interest to members. The club has 50/50 drawings, card bingo, Chinese auctions, etc. To ensure a good fit, prospective members are encouraged to try up to three activities before joining.
