The Ravens—a group of young teenagers from local high schools—will be returning by popular demand to Derby’s Bar and Grill on Saturday, April 14.
Sixteen-year-old Hugo Valdivia, drummer and lead vocalist, is a student at River Springs Charter School, and has been playing drums since he was 12 years old.
Max Chidley—the front man and vocalist—attends Ace Academy in Hemet. At 17, Chidley is the band’s oldest member.
Diego De La Huerta, who also attends River Springs Charter School, is on keyboard.
Rhythm guitarist Marco Farias picked up his instrument at 12 years old and has been running his fingers over the frets ever since.
Sixteen-year-old Sebastian Lopez plays lead guitar and attends San Jacinto High School.
Noah Granado, who is on bass guitar and vocals, also attends San Jacinto High School.
Valdivia, together with Chidley, decided to become a band in late 2017. The others joined in shortly thereafter. The group not only records, but writes their own songs. Their influences in music range from The Beatles to Santana and Nirvana. They have a distinctive beat vitality.
The Ravens are a home-grown group and we hope you will come out to Derby’s Bar and Grill, 2860 W. Florida Ave., Hemet on Saturday evening and feel their energy. The show starts at 7 p.m. For more information, call 951-652-9968.
