Hemet Historic Theatre
Tribute Mania concerts are in season including tributes to Chicago on July 7, The Bee Gees July 14, The Eagles August 4, and Abba August 18. Showtime for all Tribute Mania concerts is 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 6:15 pm. Tickets are $22 presale and $25 the day of the show.
HHT also features classic films for only five dollars every Monday and Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Coming up on Monday June 18 is Life With Father (1947) starring William Powell, Irene Dunne, and Elizabeth Taylor, and on Tuesday June 19 will be The Long Shot (1939) starring Gordon Jones, Marsha Hunt, and C. Henry Gordon.

Sunset Rotary Comedy Show
The Hemet Sunset Rotary is a offering a night of jazz and jokes on June 23 with a “clean” show from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and a “blue” show from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Both shows will be presented in the Diamond Valley Arts Center located at 123 N. Harvard Street. Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door.
The Sunset Rotary is working with Bubba’s Comedy who are providing comedians including Patrick DeGuire, Brian Apprille, Anthony Stone, and more. There will be refreshments and snacks available, including alcohol for those with proper I.D. There will be raffles throughout the night and a range of prizes.
The Sunset Rotary meets every Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. in the Diamond Valley Arts Center. For more information about this event please call (951) 652-3822.
Concerts Under the Stars at the Ramona Bowl

June 28 – 8 p.m. – Stone Soul, the best of classic soul and motown.
July 2 & 3 – 6 p.m. – Shrek The Musical. Students aged 5-18 are encouraged to sign up to participate. Sign-ups were May 12, but rehearsals don’t begin until June 11 at West Valley HS Theater, so you may be able to put your name on the waiting list. Two Salvation Army summer camps for youth
The Hemet Salvation Army is hosting its annual summer camps both in town and in the mountains beginning Monday, June 18. In town, children from 1st thru 8th grades can go on local field trips, engage in activities and complete projects, and have lunch and snacks with lots of fun at the Salvation Army Hemet Community Center, 340 S. Palm Ave., Hemet. The youth camp runs from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Thursday, June 18 – July 26. The cost is $35 per week ($160 value thanks to sponsors). In the mountains, children ages 5-17 can attend the Salvation Pine Summit Summer Camp near Big Bear during weekly sessions between June 18 – July 23. Rock climbing, nature walks, archery, swimming, and more are available. The cost is $380 per week per youth. Arts “Exploratorium” at Trinity Lutheran Church
Starting in mid-July the Trinity Lutheran Church Arts Exploratorium Committee plans for a 5-day arts exploratorium for incoming pre-K through 6th grade Hemet-area students. The focus will be on the arts of music, painting, fabric crafts, and acting fundamentals. Joni Pikard, Arts Exploratorium Committee member, said that in addition to fun activities, the event will include healthy snacks for the kids. The arts exploratorium will take place from July 16 – 20 during the hours of 1 -5 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 191 South Columbia St. in Hemet. Applications for enrollment and scholarships can be obtained by calling the church office at 951-658-5013.
Hemet Senior Computer Club
The club meets the third Monday of every month from 10 a.m.–noon at Valley-Wide Valle Vista Recreation Center. The club is open to anyone in the Hemet/San Jacinto area who would like to learn and share knowledge of computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Valley-Wide Recreation Center, 43935 E.
