A grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Hemet San Jacinto Valley Chamber of Commerce was held this month for a new Starbucks coffee shop that opened at 1555 S. San Jacinto Ave.
Both Chamber of Commerce and city employees were present for the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the arrival of the popular coffee shop and meeting place for locals to bring Starbucks’ unique form of gathering place to the south end of San Jacinto.
Peter Santo, district manager for Starbucks said, “We are proud to serve the communities of San Jacinto and Hemet, and we invite everyone to come and visit us at the corner of San Jacinto Ave. and Esplanade. I also want to thank all of our hard-working baristas for making our grand opening a success.”
Domnick Trani, Starbucks retail store manager, who moved from the Hemet Starbucks said, “It’s an honor to manage the team of 40 at this store. We bring a drive-thru for our customers on the run. Our San Jacinto/Esplanade location is our first coffee shop between Murrieta and Palm Springs to offer ‘Nitrogen Infused Cold Brew Coffee,’ which packs a punch and can only be sold in a Tall or Grande size.”
Yolanda Saenz, Business Development coordinator for the Hemet/San Jacinto Chamber of Commerce, was on hand for the ribbon cutting along with the Chamber CEO Andy Anderson. The Chamber was responsible for organizing the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Mayor Crystal Ruiz of San Jacinto said that the city is proud to have the new Starbucks coffee shop on south San Jacinto Avenue and Esplanade, adding that it is just the beginning of a series of exciting new developments coming to the city of SJ.
Starbucks also has two other coffee shops in San Jacinto, one at 1211 N. State St., and one at 2281 W. Esplanade Ave. Hemet stores are located at 889 W. Florida Ave., 150 W. Stetson Ave., 2350 W. Florida Ave., and 3527 W. Florida Ave. Business hours vary and are listed on the Internet. Community bulletin boards are in all shops.
The author went by twice on opening day, each time ordering my favorite Starbucks coffee creation that you won’t find on the board … a medium iced decaf white mocha with whipped cream. Try it, you might get hooked like me. It has a surprise ingredient they’ll tell you about. It’s killer on a hot day.
