Drive-by shooting injures three victims
First responders transfer one of the gunshot victims to the nearest hospital for medical assistance.

Three men have been shot and wounded after a drive-by shooting occurred in Hemet on Saturday, July 14.
A little after 2:30 p.m, shots rang out within the 100 block of S. Franklin St. The Hemet Police Department received a call about the shooting and arrived on the scene to discover three male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Nearby witness accounts claimed there were a total of four shots fired followed by a white Nissan speeding away. A Hispanic male was reportedly described as the shooter by one eyewitness account.
One male was reportedly clinging to life after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. A second victim was injured in his abdomen, while the third was shot in his thigh. The victim sustaining a chest injury was transferred by an air ambulance to receive medical treatment. Currently, only one of the victims has since been released from the hospital and the other two were in critical condition.
The scene near the residence where the shooting occurred was marked off with crime scene tape by HPD officials. Some onlookers were curious as to what happened while others lingered to give their eyewitness testimonies.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the incident was gang-related. The shooting is currently still under investigation. An official press release from the Hemet Police Department was released on July 14 stating that with the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
