Man hides from deputies after stabbing

A man from Oceanside hid from Hemet authorities for two days after stabbing someone and fleeing the scene.
On the evening of Aug. 21, deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s station responded to the 26000 block of State Highway 243, in an unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Idyllwild, after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon around 8:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived on scene they located a victim that was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect had fled the scene and deputies canvassed the area, but were unable to immediately locate the suspect.
Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station continued their investigation into this assault and two days later located the suspect. In the late afternoon of Aug 23, deputies located the male suspect and identified him as 23 year-old Jeremy Greene, who is originally from Oceanside, Calif. Greene was hiding in a property in the 25800 block of Highway 243 when deputies found him.
He was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the county jail in Banning. Green is currently being held at Larry D. Smith Correctional and is being charged for three felony counts: assault with a deadly weapon, possessing a firearm, and a revocation hearing.
