Building on the success of their Tribute Mania Concert Series, the Historic Hemet Theatre has announced a new concert series called “Friday Nite Live.”
The series will bring top talent from the region in a variety of shows that will allow the theatre to expand its programming beyond its current schedule. The first two events in the series have been announced:
On Friday, Jan. 4, The Garth Guy, Dean Simmons, returns to HHT with his signature tribute to Garth Brooks. Dean’s tribute to Garth has earned him a place on AXS TV World’s Greatest Tribute Bands and the world famous “Legends in Concert.” He is not only able to mimic Garth’s music, but he is also able to emulate the walk, the talk, the laugh, and Garth’s magnetic connection with an audience. This show got rave reviews from Hemet fans in 2016 and is sure to pack the house for this show.
On Friday, Feb. 15, Hemet’s own Jerome Robinson returns to HHT in his role as lead singer for the 2nd Generation Platters. This group has appeared here twice, once along with Five Tempting Men and the second time with Jonnie Fox and the Satinettes. This time, Jerome and the boys will be joined by Elena V, performing her inspiring tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.
Showtime for concerts in the Friday Nite Live series is 7 p.m. Tickets are $22 presale and $25 day of show.
Meanwhile, tickets are moving fast for the shows in the Tribute Mania Concert Series. The three concerts remaining this year, “Tribute to Neil Diamond” (Sat 11/17), “Tribute to Queen” (Sat 12/8), and “Cash, Killer and the King” (Sat 12/15) are completely sold out.
Tickets are now available for all shows in Tribute Mania Concert Series for the 2019 Season One: Tribute to Bruno Mars with Bruno & the Hooligans (Sat 1/12), Tribute to Van Halen featuring Fan Halen (Sat 1/26), and Tribute to Marvin Gaye featuring Let’s Get It On (Sat 2/9).
