Police arrested a 52-year-old Hemet man on drug charges last week and confiscated a sizable stash of methamphetamine and heroin.
Arrested and jailed on suspicion of drug and parole-related offenses was Joseph Navas, a resident of Hemet, according to Hemet Police Lt. Nate Miller.
Police were patrolling in the 400 block of N. Palm Avenue on Wednesday night, Feb. 20, when they stopped a vehicle for a suspected traffic violation, Miller said in a statement. Three individuals were inside the vehicle, and when officers did a records check, they found that Navas was on a?post-release community supervisiona? When police searched the vehicle, they found baggies containing a total of a half pound of methamphetamine and more than 50 grams of street-level heroin, which they confiscated, according to Miller.
