On Saturday, Mar. 23, heavy metal rock fans will be packing the auditorium at the Historic Hemet Theatre to hear a thundering tribute to AC/DC performed by one of the nation’s top tribute bands.
AC/DC is an Australian rock band that gained prominence in the mid-1970’s, building on the heavy metal popularity of pioneers Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. The group recorded a long list of hits, selling more than 200 million albums. In 1980, their “Back in Black” album became the highest selling album by any band.
The LA based band, Bonfire, has taken on the task of performing the music of AC/DC with a deep passion. Their talents have taken them across the globe and earned them a spot on AXTV’s World’s Greatest Tribute Bands.
This will be the first time Bonfire will appear at HHT, packing the dance floor with cheering fans for all of AC/DC top hits, including “Highway to Hell,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Hells Bells,” “Thunderstruck,” and “Let There be Rock.”
Tickets for the Tribute to AC/DC are expected to be available up to the day of show.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Tribute to the Music of John Denver on Saturday, Mar. 9, have sold out. Other upcoming concerts include Tribute to George Strait (Friday 3/29), The Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Tribute (Saturday 4/6), Tribute to Elvis Presley (Friday 4/12) and Tribute to The Doors (Saturday 4/27).
