Tribute to George Strait heads to HHT

George Strait is the undeniable “King of Country Music.” His music career spans more than 30 years, including 60 number one singles (more than any other artist in any genre) and 33 platinum albums (more than any country artist). Strait is the only act in history to have a top 10 hit every year for over three decades, selling more than 70 million albums and earning him more than 60 major entertainment industry awards.

The list of George Strait hits includes some of country music’s most memorable songs, including “Amarillo by Morning,” “Ocean Front Property,” “The Cowboy Rides Away,” “The Chair,” “The Fireman,” “You Look So Good in Love,” and “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.”
On Friday, Mar. 29, the Historic Hemet Theatre will host a tribute to George Strait featuring The Troubadour Experience. Lead Singer John Eric brings to the stage not just the memorable sound of George Strait, but also Strait’s humor and infectious energy. No doubt the dance floor will be packed with line dancing and two-steppin’ fans, celebrating the music of this iconic country music star.
The show is the latest in HHT’s Friday Nite Live Concert Series. Also coming in the series will be a tribute to Elvis on Friday, April 12. Soon to be announced are tributes to Creedence Clearwater Revival and Johnny Cash.
Meanwhile, the Saturday night concerts of the Tribute Mania Concert Series continue with tributes to AC/DC (3/23), Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons (4/6), The Doors (4/27), Bon Jovi (5/11), The Allman Brothers (5/25), Bob Seger (6/8), Santana (6/22), Led Zeppelin (7/6), Aerosmith (7/20), REO Speedwagon (8/3), and Tom Petty (8/17).
Tickets for Tribute Mania and Friday Nite Live shows are $22 presale and $25 day of show. Showtime is 7 p.m., with doors open at 6:15 p.m. Information on all theatre events is available at or by calling the ticket office, (951) 658-5950.
