The Francis Schaeffer Center: “There is no alternative” The Francis Schaeffer Center is a local study center that exists to introduce people to the life and thought of Francis Schaeffer. The late Dr. Schaffer is widely recognized as one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th Century. There are similar study centers around the world. Whether in books, films or centers, he has proposed that there is no alternative to historic Christianity as a foundation for life and thought. The Center is open Friday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is located at 40639 Rosalie Avenue, Hemet, 92544. All are welcome and there is no cost. Mommy & Me at United Methodist Church The Hemet United Methodist Church has begun a “Mommy & Me” program from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The church is located at 530 S. Buena Vista. Call Darlene Anderson at (951) 487-1286 for more info.
Bible Study Fellowship International Bible Study Fellowship International is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps women know God. BSF’s preschool program gives children registered by an adult BSF member the beginning biblical foundation. Classes are on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and are held at 375 N. Sanderson Ave. in Hemet. They accept infants and preschool age children. There is no cost. For more info., call 660-0502 or email vivianarias@outlook.com.

Pilgrim Church Bible study Pilgrim Congregational Church of Christ meets every Thursday evening at 6 p.m. for a study and conversation of the Bible. Sessions are led by Pastor Megan. Wednesday night Bible studies at Living Waters Living Waters Christian Ministries meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays at the church located at 468 W. Main St. in SJ. A verse-by-verse Bible study meets on Wed at 7 p.m.
Unitarian-Universalist welcomes all The Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Hemet/San Jacinto welcomes those of all faiths to join them. This is a national and international church that encourages people to practice their own philosophies and religions. They believe that all people are capable of forming their own belief systems. The social time is at 10 a.m. with coffee and pastries and the service is from 10:30 a.m. to noon each Sunday. Come visit during this special holiday season. They are located at 796 E.
