Hemet Sunset Rotary invites public to an evening of jazz and jokes

Jazz and Jokes show on June 23 will feature a variety of comedians.[/caption] ■ Hemet Sunset Rotary / Contributed If you want to hear a dirty joke, come check out a comedy show hosted by the Sunset Rotary and Bubba’s comedy on Saturday June 23 at 9 p.m. If you don’t want to hear any dirty jokes, come check out another show that same night at 7 p.m. After the success of their last comedy show, the Hemet Sunset Rotary is a offering a night of jazz and jokes with a “clean” show from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a “blue” show from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Both shows will be presented in the Diamond Valley Arts Center which is located at 123 N. Harvard Street. Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door. The Sunset Rotary is working with Bubba’s Comedy who are providing comedians including Patrick DeGuire, Brian Apprille, Joe Grillo, Matin Atrushi, Anthony Stone, and Big Liam. The host will be Bubba Butler. There will be refreshments and snacks available, including alcohol for those with proper I.D. There will be raffles throughout the night and a range of prizes. Fundraisers such as these are a part of the Sunset Rotary’s philanthropic endeavors throughout the area. This particular event will help pay for the construction of the Americana trail at the Ramona Bowl. They also help with the Ramona Spring festival in downtown Hemet, serve pancakes at the opening of softball season, give scholarships to local high school students and send members of Interact (the high school branch of Rotary) to trainings and activities. Rotary is open to anyone and new members are always welcome. The Sunset Rotary meets every Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. in the Diamond Valley Arts Center. Jazz and Jokes show on June 23 will feature a variety of comedians.[/caption] ■ Hemet Sunset Rotary / Contributed If you want to hear a dirty joke, come check out a comedy show hosted by the Sunset Rotary and Bubba’s comedy on Saturday June 23 at 9 p.m. If you don’t want to hear any dirty jokes, come check out another show that same night at 7 p.m. After the success of their last comedy show, the Hemet Sunset Rotary is a offering a night of jazz and jokes with a “clean” show from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a “blue” show from 9 to 10:30 p.m. Both shows will be presented in the Diamond Valley Arts Center which is located at 123 N. Harvard Street. Tickets are $15 presale and $20 at the door.
