It also brings feelings of pride and patriotism, as we carry on a steadfast commitment to keeping our country safe and strong in honor of those who lost their lives at the hands of terrorists. These terrorists set out to weaken us, but in the end, their actions made us stronger. Victor Varia, passed away at the age of 67. Funeral arrangements were made with Miller-Jones Mortuary and a service was held there on Sunday, May 27. Victor Varia was born on Sept. 12, 1950 and was a valuable partner with HPD. Varia was the coordinator of the Hemet Police Department volunteer program that began in 1993 and was working under the supervision of Sgt. Nate Miller.
