Christian Science lecture on spiritual ideas A free, public lecture, “Never Alone: how spiritual ideas work in us” will be presented by Melanie Wahlberg, C.S., at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Hemet on Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. This lecture is appropriate for all ages. Child care will be provided. First Church of Christ, Scientist, 875 E. Acacia Ave., Hemet. New Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church Trinity Lutheran Church in Hemet is pleased to announce the calling of their new senior pastor, Rev. Erin Armstrong. Pastor Erin comes to Hemet after receiving her Masters of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary of California Lutheran University, and completing her pastoral internship at First Lutheran Church and School in Torrance. Pastor Erin is a daughter of the Inland Empire, being raised in Mira Loma, graduating from Jurupa Valley High School, and being a member at another Trinity Lutheran in Riverside. She attended college at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and has worked in a variety of church contexts, most notably at Luther Glen (part of Lutheran Retreats, Camps, and Conferences) in Oak Glen. She is excited to begin her ministry at Trinity in Hemet, and looks forward to being back home in the IE, where good tacos and warm weather are guaranteed. Open forum at Spiritual Living On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. there is an open forum on Life and Spiritual Practice. Rob Lindquist facilitates on readings, shared thoughts, and discussions. Wednesday night Bible studies at Living Waters Living Waters Christian Ministries meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays at the church located at 468 W. Main St. in SJ. A verse-by-verse Bible study meets on Wed at 7 p.m. Bible Study Fellowship International Bible Study Fellowship International is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps women know God. BSF’s preschool program gives children registered by an adult BSF member the beginning biblical foundation. Classes are on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and are held at 375 N.
