24 Kids Shop with a Cop in Hemet
By, City of Hemet Police. Hemet, Calif. — On Saturday, December 10, 2022, members of the Hemet Police Department teamed up with Walmart and the Elks Lodge to provide 24 local children an opportunity to Shop with a Cop.
Shop with a Cop is a fun-filled experience where participating children are treated to a shopping spree at Walmart. Before shopping, kids enjoy a pancake breakfast, a photo opportunity with Santa Claus and participate in a vehicle procession to Walmart. Shop with a Cop provides a fun-filled day for children in need and is aimed at creating positive relationships with law enforcement that will last a lifetime. Shop with a Cop is one of the many ways the Hemet Police Department gives back to the Hemet community.
This Shop with a Cop event was made possible by a generous donation from Walmart. Participating children were identified by their schools throughout the city of Hemet. Participating officer volunteered their time to attend.
