The Hemet Historic Theatre earned Inland Empire Magazine’s award for best live theatre venue for 2017.[/caption] ■ By Susan Carrier / Contributed Prestigious awards continue to accumulate for the valley’s dynamic Historic Hemet Theatre. The latest award is from Inland Empire Magazine, awarding the Foundation “2017 Best of Inland Empire” for “Best Live Theatre Venue.” For nearly 40 years, Inland Empire Magazine has distinguished itself as the premier magazine in the Inland Empire. Its “Best Of” awards are based on votes by its readers throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. The award is just the latest in a string of accolades earned by HHT in their three years of operations. Beginning in 2015, the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Chamber presented the Foundation with its “Non-Profit of the Year” Award. The following year, The San Jacinto Chamber awarded HHT with its “Business of the Year” Award. Susan Carrier, Foundation CEO, has also been recognized for her leadership at the Foundation. Last year, the Hemacinto Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association presented Susan with an award as “Business Professional of the Year” and State Senator Mike Morrell selected Susan as a finalist for the annual “Women of Distinction” Awards. If you have not yet experienced the revitalized Historic Hemet Theatre, this weekend is a great opportunity. On Saturday Jan. 21st at 7:00 p.m., HHT launches its new concert series with a dynamic tribute to Queen featuring the No.1 band in the country, Queen Nation. Tickets for concert are $22 presale and $25 day of show. Event tickets are available online at www.PurplePass.com or at the theatre ticket office. Ticket Office hours are Monday thru Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are also available at the Downtown Deli, 113 N. Harvard St., and the Harvard Street Music Exchange, 134 S. Harvard St. Information on all theatre events are available at www.HistoricHemetTheatre.com or by calling the ticket office, (951) 658-5950.
