H■ Mary Ann Morris / Editor arry Pimentel makes Champlain College’s Trustee’s List Henry Pimentel of San Jacinto was named to the Champlain College Trustee’s List for the spring 2017 semester. Students on the Trustee’s List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for two or more consecutive semesters. Founded in 1878, Champlain College is a small, nonprofit, private college in Burlington, Vermont, with additional campuses in Montreal, Quebec and Dublin, Ireland. The college is included in the Princeton Review’s The Best 381 Colleges: 2017 Edition and was featured in the “Fiske Guide to Colleges” for 2017 as one of the “best and most interesting schools” in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. Rakim Weddington named to Culver-Stockton College’s Honor Roll Rakim “Rock” Weddington, a sports communication major from Hemet, was named to the Culver-Stockton College Honor Roll for academic achievement for the spring 2017 semester. To make the list, students must earn a GPA between 3.2 and 3.49 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours, with no grade lower than a C. Weddington was also part of the team awarded Honorable Mention for “Best Student Effort” in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Athletic Training Month. In the development of the campaign, students placed an emphasis on identifying and supporting key initiatives of the professional associations and further educating a small rural community about safety, risk management, prevention strategies and the role of an athletic trainer. Culver-Stockton finished in the Top 20 nationally. Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Missouri, is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Nola Prickett makes President’s Honor List at McNeese State University Nola R. Prickett of Hemet has made the President’s Honor List for the spring 2017 semester at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. To be on the President’s Honor List, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average or better while carrying at least 15 semester hours. A senior eligible for graduation but carrying less than 15 hours is also provided that student was on the President’s Honor List the previous semester. Sarina Johnson named to spring 2017 Dean’s List at ENMU Sarina Johnson of Hemet has been named to Eastern New Mexico University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2017 semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours with a GPA between 3.25 and 4.00. ENMU, a state institution offering associate, bachelor and master degree options, serves students from around the world. Courses are offered on-campus and online.
